Generally, when we think of industrial fence, 6 ft. tall chain link with three strands of barbed wire comes to mind. That is certainly the most common method of securing a facility. However, many other types of fencing material is used when aesthetics are at play or when the type of material being protected is a consideration. Some fencing material types include chain link (11 ga./9 ga.), Vinyl coated chain link, vinyl slats inserted at the factory in cases where privacy is an issue, 6 ft./7 ft./8 ft. tall ornamental iron (pinched points at the top and/or curved top and wood or vinyl privacy fences. Less frequently, vinyl rail, pipe rail or pipe and cable type fencing can stop vehicular traffic where necessary.

We installed a 40' tall enclosure (floor to ceiling inside a huge warehouse) in which flammable and pressurized material is being stored. The thought being if a pressurized vessel is punctured, it will be contained inside the enclosure limiting the damage. This enclosure has gates large enough for fork lifts and has electric gate operators on both gates so the gates can be closed automatically as the lifts go in and out.

A recent job had Ace Quality Fencing build a 6 ft. tall fence around a children's head start facility using brown vinyl coated material with a heavy mil coating.
